Job summary

National Grid in Warwick is seeking an ambitious HVDC Procurement Business Partner to shape procurement and supply chain strategies for major HVDC projects. You will act as a trusted advisor to business and procurement teams, translating market insights into actionable plans.

The role blends strategy, data analysis and stakeholder engagement to mitigate risk, improve deliverability and drive long-term value.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategy, category management, supply chain, or related functions in large or regulated environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to turn data into action.
• Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with practical delivery.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and communicating complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance HVDC category strategies and translate market insights into actionable plans.
• Provide supply chain intelligence to support planning and forecasting.
• Partner with engineering, project, commercial and finance teams to align delivery with procurement strategies.
• Support governance activities with strategic insight into supply chain readiness and risk.
• Produce high-quality analyses and recommendations for executive decision-making.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within the category team.
