Job Summary

Under general supervision, the HVAC technician will repair, install, and maintain all HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning).

Responsibilities

• Perform duties related to HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Complete required forms, order materials and tools, and document all work.
• Maintain assigned vehicle's mechanical condition and report repairs.
• Work independently and be available for emergency calls outside normal hours.
• Follow all Board of Education regulations and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Four years of apprenticeship in the HVAC field.
• Valid Alabama Journeyman Gas Card.
• Completion of Refrigerant Transition and Recovery course.
• Experience with VAV Boxes, Damper and Air Flow, Energy Management Control, cooling towers, chillers, and air conditioning units.
• Experience with chemical treatment of air conditioning and boilers.
• Knowledge of electronics related to HVAC.
• Valid Alabama Driver's license.
• Physical ability to perform job duties.
