Job description

This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several site locations.

You will be the first line in all maintenance throughout your allocated sites.

The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPMs. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date.

All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and according to procedures.
  2. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assess the requirements of the job, and carry out necessary repairs.
  3. Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet agreed timescales and response times.
  4. Order spares following laid-down procedures.
  5. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery, advise the Line Manager with findings, and recommend suitable replacements.
  6. Ensure compliance documentation is always completed and up to date.
  7. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by City management.
  8. Perform minor alterations and installations within your technical competence according to current specifications.
  9. Attend training courses as necessary to keep pace with technical developments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Educated to GCSE/Standard Grade level or equivalent minimum.
  • Proven quality in repairs and maintenance.
  • Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Speed and efficiency in completing tasks.
  • Respond to service call requests within agreed response times.
  • Achieve PPM schedule within specified timescales.
  • Maintain adherence to Health and Safety policies.
