Job summary

HomeWorks Energy is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician I to install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems in field settings. You will ensure safety and compliance, perform start-ups, calibrations, and ongoing diagnostics, and communicate clearly with customers.

The role includes hands-on training, documentation of service activities, and collaboration with project teams to deliver reliable climate control solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• NATE certification is a plus.
• 2+ years of HVAC experience focusing on startups/commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and system start-up per specs.
• Test HVAC systems for efficiency and issues.
• Calibrate and commission newly installed HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components.
• Explain procedures to customers and document service activities.
• Collaborate with installation teams and ensure safety.
• Shadow junior technicians and provide training feedback.
