Job summary

HomeWorks Energy is hiring an HVAC Start Up Technician I (Apprentice) in Massachusetts. The role involves installing and commissioning HVAC systems, basic troubleshooting, and calibrating equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation before clients take possession.

You will document service activities, collaborate with installation teams, and grow toward Service Tech levels. Requires high school diploma, EPA 608 certification, 1+ year HVAC experience, and strong problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA 608 Certification required for refrigerant handling.
• Completion of HVAC training program or apprenticeship preferred.
• NATE certification is a plus.
• 1+ years HVAC experience focusing on start-ups or commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission HVAC systems.
• Perform start-up, testing, and calibration of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
• Document service activities and update system documentation.
• Collaborate with installation teams and project managers to meet timelines.
