Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Field-based Controls Technician to commission, test, troubleshoot and service HVAC systems at customer sites across the UK. You will work with customers and internal teams to ensure safe, reliable operation and optimal performance of controls and direct digital control systems.

The role requires knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting and mechanical layouts, plus the ability to travel as needed, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in service or field-based technician role.
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate technicians.
• Effective communication skills and collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Commission, program, set up graphics, communications link, end to end testing, troubleshooting and servicing on assigned projects.
• Document point to point verification and sequence of operations validation.
• Represent the company as direct customer contact, diagnose and repair equipment at customer sites.
• Maintain knowledge of Trane products and direct digital control systems.
• Coordinate with Service Desk, Sales and Operations for key customer insights and reports.
