Job summary

HomeWorks Energy is seeking HVAC Start Up Technician Apprentices to install and commission HVAC systems, perform basic troubleshooting, and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards.

The role involves testing units, documenting performance, and collaborating with installation teams to meet project timelines while maintaining safety. Training and growth toward Service Tech roles are available.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; HVAC training or apprenticeship preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification required; NATE certification a plus.
• At least 1 year of hands-on HVAC experience with start-up, commissioning, or installation.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, control systems, and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail; proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission HVAC systems during start-up.
• Perform system testing, calibration, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot performance issues using diagnostic tools.
• Document service activities and maintain accurate system records.
• Collaborate with installation teams and customer service to meet timelines.
• Uphold safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
