Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Engineer to join the Global Workplace Solutions team in the Winchester area. The role focuses on maintaining HVAC plant, enhancing performance, and ensuring compliant safety practices across site operations.

You will fault-find on various HVAC systems, support health and safety, and liaise with the client to deliver efficient, reliable services. Experience with VRV systems and BMS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Recognised or Time Served Apprenticeship.
• Strong proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
• Mechanical Competences / Qualifications to City and Guild’s Mechanical.
• Good multi skilled ability.
• Ability to fault find.
• Ability to supervise contractors.
• Able to complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Able to understand and write Permits and safe systems of work.
• F-Gas safe handling and use of refrigerants.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks to the client through on-site equipment; improve plant performance and preventative maintenance.
• Use new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment; liaise with the client on task requests.
• Fault find on HVAC plant with bias to VRV systems; handle refrigerants in a compliant manner.
• Support colleagues on Health and Safety and act as Energy Champion when needed.
• Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise to the Maintenance team.
• Create and follow Risk Assessments; answer issues raised from them.
• Use CAFM system to record and plan works; complete documentation.
• Liaise with onsite Supervisor and Account Manager on Building Services issues.
• Be the responsible person when required and deputise for site supervisor; work overtime as needed.
• Perform ad-hoc duties; supervise subcontractors and participate in on-call rota.
