Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking an HVAC Engineer to join the Mansfield team. The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance across plant, equipment and building services, with duties including risk assessments, BMS management and on-site supervision.

The successful candidate will have an apprenticeship and strong HVAC experience, including F-Gas certification and VRV/VRF familiarity. Expect on-site work with occasional overtime and contract supervision responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent recognised training.
• Experience in HVAC maintenance across plant and building services.
• City & Guilds mechanical qualification or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding and multi-skilled capability.
• F-Gas certification and refrigerant handling experience.
• Ability to supervise contractors and allocate tasks.
• Competence in producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Ability to prepare permits and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks associated with onsite equipment and plant performance.
• Manage environmental conditions via the BMS system and ensure efficient operation.
• Liaise with client on reactive and planned tasks and supervise safety matters.
• Carry out fault-finding on HVAC plant, with focus on VRV/VRF systems.
• Work safely with refrigerants and ensure compliance with F-Gas handling requirements.
• Prepare, follow and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team and cover for the Site Supervisor when needed.
• Use CAFM system to record tasks and complete documentation in line with standards.
