Job summary

Trane UK Ltd is seeking a field-based HVAC technician to service, troubleshoot and commission systems at customer sites across commercial healthcare, manufacturing, education and offices.

You will act as the primary customer contact, diagnose equipment, follow blueprints and provide reliable repairs with safe service delivery. Travel and standby cover will be required to meet on-site needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in service or field-based technician role.
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate technicians to deliver customer experiences.
• Effective communication skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Commission, troubleshoot, repair and start up HVAC systems.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close-out requirements.
• Act as the direct customer contact for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects.
• Identify, diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations.
• Maintain and enhance knowledge of Trane products, including installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair of direct digital control systems.
• Use software, technology and hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units within systems.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Sales and Operations teams to share customer insights.
• Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
• Foster strong customer relationships through exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate with local field service representatives, regional service leaders, senior technicians and customers on updates and continuous improvement.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.
• Support Trane UK Ltd customers across commercial healthcare, process manufacturing, education and office buildings.
• Commission, troubleshoot, repair and start up HVAC systems.
