Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks an experienced HVAC (AHU) Commissioning Engineer in the UK to oversee end-to-end commissioning of building HVAC systems, ensuring energy efficiency, safety and regulatory compliance. You will lead design reviews, installation verification, system testing and documentation, collaborating with contractors and site teams to resolve issues and optimise performance.

The role requires travel to customer sites across the UK, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering background is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
• CCP certification is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication and collaboration with teams and clients.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision and manage travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning from planning to execution on HVAC AHU projects.
• Inspect installations, verify calibration and compliance with drawings.
• Review designs and collaborate with contractors and consultants.
• Document findings and maintain records for troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Provide training handover and ensure energy-efficient operation.
