Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Field-based Service Technician – Unitary to deliver high-quality service across the UK. You will diagnose, service and repair rooftop and packaged units, visiting customer sites under maintenance contracts to ensure peak performance.

The role requires strong customer service skills, excellent communication, and the ability to travel nationwide with on-call duties. A valid UK driving license and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in service or field-based technician role.
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
• Interpersonal skills and effective communication.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with apps, diagnostic software and MS Office.
• Valid UK driving license and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose system problems during maintenance and service visits at customer sites.
• Attend sites for PPM, breakdowns, warranty work, hire and commissioning; travel nationwide; on-call rota.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships as a trusted contact.
• Collaborate with Service desk, Sales and Operations for insights and execution.
• Able to use software and hand-tools to diagnose and repair units per specs.
• Generate reports on completed invoiced work orders for analysis.
• Maintain CRM records and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Communicate with supervisors, regional managers and customers to drive improvement.
