Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United Kingdom is seeking a Service Technician to deliver exceptional customer service and technical support at customer sites under maintenance and service contracts. You will diagnose system issues, perform planned maintenance, attend breakdowns, and work with service desk, sales, and operations to improve processes while maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Qualifications

Proven experience in service or field-based technician role.
Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate technicians to deliver customer experiences.
Effective communication skills.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using Apps, diagnostic software, and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Diagnose system problems when servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and customer site visits.
Attend customer sites to carry out work for Planned Preventative Maintenance, Customer Breakdowns, Warranty work, Hire and Commissioning workloads.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted point of contact.
Collaborate with Service desk, Sales, and Operations Team to share key customer insights.
Use cutting edge software and hand-tools to diagnose and repair units following blueprints or engineering specifications.
Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
Foster strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
Communicate with supervisors, regions service managers and senior technicians, and customers on updates to drive continuous improvement.
