Job summary

Arup is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of HV/EHV infrastructure projects in the UK. You will work within multidisciplinary teams on substations, cable systems, and related electrical infrastructure, delivering technical deliverables and analyses to meet project requirements.

You will apply UK/international standards using tools like PowerFactory, PSCAD, ETAP, CYMCAP and CDEGS, and coordinate with civil, structural, and mechanical engineers to ensure integrated

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in power transmission and distribution projects.
• Knowledge of HV (132–400 kV) infrastructure and associated systems.
• Ability to produce calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Familiarity with UK and international electrical standards.
• Experience with design/software tools for power system studies.

Responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of HV/EHV infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review single-line diagrams, equipment specs and cable calculations.
• Undertake power system studies and technical analyses as required.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders; support tender reviews and project delivery.
