Job summary

Arup is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in power transmission and distribution to support HV/EHV infrastructure projects. You will work on substations, cable systems and wider power networks, delivering technical outputs and contributing to multidisciplinary design teams.

You will apply UK and international standards, using tools like PowerFactory, ETAP and PSCAD, with opportunities to progress toward chartership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Experience on HV/EHV projects and electrical infrastructure is essential.
• Ability to produce calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.

Responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of HV/EHV infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review single-line diagrams, equipment specs, cable calculations.
• Coordinate with civil, structural and mechanical engineers for integrated designs.
• Contribute to technical assurance, design reviews and client communications.
