Job summary

Arup in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Senior HV Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across major transmission projects within the UK Great Grid Partnership and similar programmes.

You will direct design, assurance, and interfaces between primary plant, protection and control, SCADA, and cabling, while mentoring teams and engaging senior stakeholders to ensure high quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status (CEng IET or equivalent) is required.
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary electrical design teams.
• Extensive experience in HV transmission network infrastructure and schemes.

Responsibilities

• Provide organisation-wide technical leadership.
• Lead design assurance across electrical packages and ensure governance.
• Represent electrical engineering in governance forums with senior stakeholders.
• Oversee interfaces between primary plant, protection, SCADA, and cabling.
• Mentor and develop team capabilities within the electrical discipline.
