Job summary

Arup is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in HV/EHV design to support the delivery of substations, cable systems and associated infrastructure. You will prepare single-line diagrams, equipment specs, cable calculations and earthing designs while applying UK and international standards.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions, coordinate with civil and mechanical engineers, and contribute to technical assurance, tender documentation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering HV/EHV design on substations or cable projects.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and deliver technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Design substations and cable systems for HV/EHV projects.
• Prepare technical specifications, calculations and drawings.
• Coordinate with civil, structural and mechanical teams to deliver integrated designs.
• Support tendering, bid evaluations and supplier reviews.
• Possibly conduct site visits during project delivery.
