Full Job Description

HR Officer

Based onsite Wednesbury 8am-4:30pm

Manufacturing Client

Responsible for applying HR standardsand processes, advising management on accelerating the deployment anddevelopment of people throughout the employee lifecycle. Supportsday-to-day business operations and contributes to achieving businessobjectives by adhering to employment legislation, policies,procedures, and internal frameworks such as the business plan anddepartment standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Policy Implementation: Contribute to and supportHR policies aligned with strategic management direction. Monitorcompliance and assist the HR Manager in translating and communicatingpolicies throughout the business.
  • Advising: FormulateHR solutions in response to requests from management or proactivelywith functional managers. Provide advice to enable effectivedecision-making and support employee relations and case management.
  • People Development: Assist in designing andimplementing development policies that align with strategicperformance goals. Support employee growth, career progression, andsuccession planning initiatives.
  • Recruitment: Assesscurrent and future personnel needs to support mid-to-long-termworkforce planning. Contribute to recruitment activities, successionplanning, exit interviews, and retention strategies.
  • Projects: Participate in and lead HR projects aimedat improving systems and procedures. Promote best practices andtranslate improvement opportunities into actionable project plans.
  • Reporting: Provide accurate HR reports with relevantbusiness indicators. Ensure timely preparation of data, analyzetrends, and deliver insights to inform management decisions.
  • Administration: Manage and improve HR administrativesystems and processes in compliance with GDPR. Ensure efficiency,accuracy, and data integrity within departmental standards.

Skills & Attributes

• Fully CIPDqualified

• At least 6 years of relevant experience,preferably in a manufacturing environment

• MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)

• Organisation and job design

• Analytical, writing, andreporting skills
