Excellent salary, plus 25 days holiday, life assurance, healthcare plan, employment discount scheme. Early finish on a Friday.

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven HR Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of this Human Resources team. If you're organised, people-focused, and ready to make an impact in a fast-paced environment, this is your opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that plays a vital role in shaping our workplace culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be at the heart of our HR function, providing essential support across a wide range of activities, including:

  • Advising employees and managers on a variety of HR and payroll-related matters — from absence management and disciplinary processes to flexible working and performance reviews.
  • Management and administration of temporary work force
  • Maintaining and updating our integrated HR, Payroll, and Time & Attendance system (Civica).
  • Handling all HR-related documentation — from offer letters and contracts to on-boarding and exit processes.
  • Coordinating temporary labour for manufacturing operations, including on-boarding, uniform provision, and site inductions.
  • Supporting the recruitment process, liaising with agencies, and taking part in interviews.
  • Leading the on-boarding journey for new starters, ensuring all right-to-work checks and induction elements are completed.
  • Administering occupational health procedures and employee appraisals.
  • Producing reports and statistical data to support key HR decisions.
  • Organising training activities and keeping associated records up to date.
  • Supporting internal communication and engagement initiatives, including monthly health and wellbeing campaigns.
  • Playing a key role in company events such as long service awards and retirement celebrations.
  • Assisting with special visits, meetings, and events — from logistics to hosting.
  • Helping facilitate drug and alcohol testing and supporting liaison with Japanese staff members.
  • Collaborating with Health & Safety as needed — including note taking in meetings and updating key contact lists.
  • Contributing to employee engagement initiatives like the biennial opinion survey.
  • Providing all-round support on any other tasks as required by management.

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who brings energy, professionalism, and a can-do attitude. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus solid numeracy.
  • A collaborative mindset, but also the confidence to work independently.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for HR and a desire to keep learning and growing in the field.
  • Great time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure — without missing the details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using HR data systems to generate insights and reports.
  • CIPD qualification is desirable, ideally 3 or 5
  • HR knowledge gained within a manufacturing or engineering environment
