Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a Hub Coordinator to lead the development of the Family Wellbeing Hubs across Aboyne, Banchory, Portlethen, Stonehaven and Laurencekirk. You will oversee a team of Family Outreach Workers delivering 1-to-1 support, group sessions and related activities to help families achieve their goals.

This role requires safeguarding awareness, PVG scheme engagement, and a commitment to continuous service improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-agency projects and teams.
• Ability to facilitate group sessions and family-focused support.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and PVG checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Family Wellbeing Hubs across Aberdeenshire areas.
• Line manage a team of Family Outreach Workers.

Lead on the development of the Family Wellbeing Hubs in Aberdeenshire, specifically Aboyne, Banchory, Portlethen, Stonehaven and Laurencekirk utilised by a variety of groups, organisations and services who work together to support families to make positive changes in line with their own goals. Promoting the use of strength based approaches to create an environment that is welcoming and supportive, reducing barriers for children, families and young people.

The Hub Coordinator will be responsible for a team of Family Outreach Workers who will work with families on a 1 to 1 basis, group facilitation as well as other approaches in line with the needs of the community in the South of Aberdeenshire.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
