Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a dedicated school support assistant to help assist teachers in promoting achievement and raising pupil attainment, while providing general support for the needs of the class and individuals' care, health, wellbeing and safety.

Initially based in the location advertised, you may be required to work elsewhere within the Stonehaven CSN, demonstrating flexibility across a cluster of schools.

Qualifications

• This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
• PVG Scheme checks are required; Overseas Criminal Record Check if spent >3 months outside the UK in the last 5 years.
• A confirmed offer and start will depend on satisfactory pre-employment checks and at least one reference from your current or most recent employer.

Assist teachers in promoting achievement and raising the standards of pupil attainment and provide general support in relation to the needs of the class and individuals' care, health and wellbeing and safety; to ensure a secure and safe environment.

There is a requirement to be flexible in school location within the cluster, according to individual circumstances and work with a range of pupils from P1 - S6.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Initially you will be based in the location advertised, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Stonehaven CSN.

Requirements
