Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is hiring a daytime cleaning assistant for Education and Children's Services premises in Scotland. The role is fixed-term until 2 July 2027, with a Monday to Friday pattern from 6 am to 8 am.

You will be required to join the PVG Scheme and may need an overseas criminal record check if applicable. The council applies a Living Wage Supplement to staff earning less than £13.45 per hour.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme or PVG Update check required.
• Overseas Criminal Record Check if spent 3+ months outside the UK in the last 5 years.
• A confirmed offer of employment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
• Minimum one reference from current or most recent employer.

Aberdeenshire Council currently applies a Living Wage Supplement to all Council employees earning less than £13.45 per hour.

Fixed Term for a period not exceeding 02/07/2027

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 6 am- 8 am

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
