Job summary

Artis Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead a professional services HR team in Cardiff. This broad, hands-on role delivers day-to-day HR leadership, advising managers and partners, and driving employee lifecycle initiatives across the organisation.

The successful candidate will manage complex employee relations, develop policies, oversee payroll in conjunction with Finance, and partner with the HR Director on change projects and people initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HR generalist experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and its practical application.
• CIPD Level 7 qualification desirable.
• Experience in a professional services environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the HR team delivering a high-quality HR service across the organisation.
• Manage complex employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and redundancies.
• Provide trusted HR advice to team leaders and line managers on employment matters and terms and conditions.
• Coach managers through organisational and people-related change.
• Develop, review and implement HR policies and procedures to support performance and minimise risk.
• Oversee payroll administration and liaise with external providers and Finance.
• Support recruitment strategies and inductions for new starters.
• Produce HR reporting for the Executive Board and HR correspondence.
• Coordinate absence management and TUPE transfers.
• Support talent management and succession planning.
