Your new role

Hays is working exclusively with this global business to find an Italian-speaking HR Manager to join the growing UK office, currently with a headcount of 12, aiming for expansion into new markets in EMEA and Africa. You will be the main point of contact for all UK HR-related queries, providing guidance on Employment Law, managing UK recruitment, onboarding, and related administration.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Management of UK payroll for approximately 15 employees, with potential to increase or decrease based on business needs.
  2. Leading the implementation of HRIS systems.
  3. Reporting directly to the HR Director in Italy, maintaining daily communication with the Italian HR team; fluency in Italian is essential.
  4. Adapting to a newly created role, requiring flexibility and agility, with responsibilities evolving based on workload and projects.
  5. Managing the HR administrator.
  6. Owning relationships with investors and legal consultants.
  7. Managing complex ER cases.
  8. Overseeing global mobility, with over 80% of the workforce on Secondment VISAs.

What you'll need to succeed

You should operate at a Senior HR Management level, ideally with experience across EMEA and/or African countries, managing relationships with C-Suite executives, Directors, private equity investors, and legal advisors. You must have demonstrated leadership in global HR projects, including scaling up and establishing entities in new jurisdictions.

Experience required:

  1. Fluent in Italian (Essential)
  2. At least 10+ years of HR experience at a senior management level
  3. Ability to manage complex ER cases across multiple countries
  4. Experience managing stakeholder relationships with investors, legal advisors, and management consultants
  5. CIPD qualification
  6. Ability to work in an agile, scale-up environment
  7. Oversight of payroll processing for multiple countries
  8. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data reporting
