Reporting into the EMEA Snr. Director, the EMEA HR Operations Manager (UK) role is accountable for coordinating HR Administration, Master Data Management, and Compliance activities across approximately 11 English-speaking countries in EMEA (UK, Ireland, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, South Africa, Nigeria, Belgium, Israel, Dubai).

The role aims to foster a collaborative team culture that delivers excellent service aligned with governance, policies, and service levels.

This key role involves leading up to 10 HR professionals in a central UK-based HR Operations Team. Success requires a credible, inspiring leader who collaborates effectively to leverage improvement opportunities, especially those enhancing colleague experience and data quality.

The role works closely with colleagues across HR functions (Payroll, HR Data Management, Reward, People Development, Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, COEs) and the wider business, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to create global consistency and set clear expectations.

What you will be doing?

  • Deliver end-to-end HR activities related to the employee lifecycle efficiently, meeting payroll deadlines and SLAs.
  • Plan for workload peaks through partner engagement and proactive volume monitoring.
  • Use colleague and partner feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Minimize key people dependencies via cross-training and process definition.
  • Ensure timely completion of audits, compliance checks, and data quality activities, with remediation as needed.
  • Handle operational issues, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Manage day-to-day team activities, onboarding, performance reviews, and quality assessments.
  • Enhance Tier 0 self-service content to reduce colleague queries.
  • Promote correct usage of HR policies, processes, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with HR specialists and teams responsible for Service Management, Change Projects, Training, and Local HR Processes.
  • Deputise for HR Operations leadership as required.
