Job Opportunity: HR Manager (12-month FTC)

An exciting opportunity for a stand-alone HR Manager on a 12-month FTC, reporting to the Commercial Director. You will support the Directors and SMT by taking full ownership of Human Resources as an HR Generalist, making a real difference and contributing to the long-term success of a growing business.

  • Location: Office-based with some travel to Market Harborough.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage employee casework including disputes, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy.
  • Apply HR and business knowledge for decision-making.
  • Support departments on employment terms and share best practices.
  • Develop HR policies to enhance performance and reduce disputes.
  • Advise on policies and benefits for employees.
  • Collaborate with payroll on employee changes.
  • Work with Senior Management on pay and reward strategies.
  • Support recruitment: writing job descriptions, interview questions, and onboarding processes.
  • Manage talent and succession planning.
  • Align HR strategy with business goals.
  • Review and update HR policies and processes.
  • Participate in projects to align workforce with strategic goals.
  • Maintain accurate HR records for reporting and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Act as primary contact for key stakeholders.
  • Support management with absence requests and HR system updates.
  • Track and organize Length of Service awards.
Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience as a stand-alone HR Manager, preferably in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law.
  • Self-confident, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to develop initiatives that boost employee morale.
