What are we looking for?

We are seeking a UK HR Business Partner to support multiple sites across the UK, with the opportunity to take ownership of your sites and support on people and transformation-related matters.

The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to build effective relationships, and demonstrate influence at a senior level. Embedding yourself as a key part of the site management team and leveraging stakeholder management skills to deliver quick wins will be essential. Experience in leading workforce change initiatives and championing the HR voice within a management team will be fundamental to success in this role.

The role is based at our Newcastle depot, with frequent travel to other sites as needed. Applicants must be flexible to travel. The position qualifies for our flexi scheme and hybrid working arrangements, allowing up to 2 days per week working from home. The contract is for 36 hours, Monday to Friday.

Our HR function operates on a business partnering model, providing proactive, hands-on support to onsite management, including engaging with senior managers and supervisory staff within a heavily unionized and regulated sector.

Main Tasks

Personnel:
• Provide comprehensive, timely, and quality people-related support.
• Collaborate with managers to understand business drivers and people issues, and identify solutions.
• Lead regional ER case management to meet targets.
• Support the development and delivery of HR policies and processes.
• Use data to identify trends, determine root causes, and develop organizational effectiveness solutions.
• Coach managers and facilitate leadership interventions.
• Lead organizational change initiatives and projects.
• Engage with trade union partners at the local level.
