As an HR Business Partner, you will collaborate with the AZUK Oncology and Biopharmaceuticals Senior Leadership Team and HR colleagues to deliver our People Strategy, focusing on talent, capabilities, careers, and employee experience. Accountabilities:
Strategic HR Planning and Execution
• Deliver the people strategy by demonstrating competence in commercial insights, financial savviness, and data analytics.
• Collaborate with HRD, HRBPs, CoEs, and global teams to build and implement talent priorities.
• Build and implement strategies to retain critical talent and address attrition risks.
Leadership and Advisory
• Partner with business leaders to understand objectives and provide strategic HR guidance.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on people and culture matters.
• Own the performance development cycle, including check-ins, development planning, and rewards.
Recruitment and Onboarding
• Develop effective hiring and onboarding strategies in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team.
• Partner with the reward team to ensure competitive compensation and benefits.
Organisational Development and Change
• Drive organisational and cultural changes to support company growth.
• Lead organisational design, business change, and realignment projects.
Compliance and Best Practices
• Support compliance with HR policies and provide expertise on employment laws and standard methodologies.
• Stay informed on HR trends and contribute innovative ideas to the organisation.
Data-Driven Insights
• Analyse HR metrics to develop data-driven solutions for issues and opportunities.
Learning and Development
• Support employee learning and development and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Diversity and Inclusion
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion to cultivate a positive work environment.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Ability to coach and challenge business leaders to drive performance and achieve business goals.
- General understanding of the AZ commercial operations, and a resourceful to build business acumen.
- Demonstrated expertise in Talent Management and Succession Planning, Performance & Reward (including setting & negotiating offers), Employee Relations (ER), Learning & Development and Organisational Change.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting business change initiatives effectively.
- Ability to handle complex HR projects through a complete life cycle, ensuring successful delivery.
- Proficiency in interpreting HR data and analytics to advise decision-making and strategy.
- High emotional intelligence with excellent listening, influencing, communication, and coaching abilities
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
- Familiarity with AI and digital transformation, as highlighted by the "Thriving in the age of AI" programme.
- Comprehensive understanding of legal implications and compliance, particularly in relation to employment law and organisational policies.
- Ability to think strategically and proactively address potential issues, such as salary reductions and talent retention.
- Skilled at collaborating effectively with diverse partners, like managers and other HR professionals, to ensure cohesive decision-making and support.
