About the job
You will partner with the Area Manager London and line managers for corporate functions in Head Office to advise, challenge and guide on people-related issues and priorities to help drive business results.
Your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Providing advice and guidance to the Area Manager London and line managers in Head Office, across all people related topics including complex employee relations cases and policy application. As and when applicable, influencing staff related decisions in order to upskill line managers and de-risk the organisation.
- Partnering with HR Operations teams from the Global Business Services to ensure HR administration is updated in line with any changes to local labour laws.
- Coaching and developing the HR Assistant, upskilling their knowledge and capability.
- Supporting line managers ensuring local recruitment requirements are met and partnering with Talent Acquisition to support with high profile or hard to fill roles to ensure the region is staffed to perform.
- Planning and executing a robust Talent Retention and Succession Planning process for London including the facilitation of round-table discussions about talent in London and Head Office. Challenging the talent placement and potential performance ratings where necessary.
- Challenging line managers to generate an action plan to resolve poor performing KPI’s and holding them to account for the delivery of people KPI’s in their remit, as per the identified areas of risk.
- Generating ideas and supporting line managers with employee engagement initiatives to improve staff retention and reflected in Labour Turnover statistics and employee satisfaction reflected in eNPS scores on surveys.
- Identifying trends, and training needs in employee relations for the business and proposing or delivering training solutions to upskill business managers accordingly.
- Involvement in ad-hoc people related projects based on the needs of the business.
About youWe are looking for a unique and amazing talent, who brings along the following:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR within a UK multi-site retail business, ideally in a field-based role; of that, 2-3 years’ experience in an HR Manager/HR Business Partner role
- Excellent working/practical knowledge of UK employment law; of that at least 4 years of experience of independently managing complex ER cases end to end.
- CIPD level 5 qualified desirable but not essential.
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage personal, sensitive, and confidential information in a professional manner
