Job summary

Pertemps Plymouth is seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a four-month temporary assignment in Plymouth. The role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £21.14 per hour and an immediate start date (26 October 2026 target) to 14 February 2027.

You will provide professional HR advice to managers on a broad range of HR matters, support change projects including restructures and TUPE transfers, and act as HR Advisor on Employee Relations cases, guiding chairs through hearings

Qualifications

Chartered CIPD member or CIPD Level 5 with progress toward Chartered Membership.
Extensive experience in generalist HR advisory.
Strong Employee Relations experience with hearings and appeals.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
Public sector/local government experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide HR advice to managers on general HR matters.
Support change projects, restructures and TUPE transfers.
Act as HR Advisor on Employee Relations cases with hearings and chairs guidance.
Advise on disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and organisational requirements.
