Job summary

Nacro in Birmingham is seeking an experienced People Advisor to deliver practical, timely HR advice to managers and employees, with a strong focus on employee relations caseloads.

You will own allocated cases from intake to resolution, ensure fair processes in line with policies and employment law, build manager capability, and maintain accurate, confidential case records to support a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR policy.
• Ability to produce clear written advice and maintain confidential records.
• Experience managing a busy caseload and providing employee relations support.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, practical HR advice to managers and employees across policies and relations.
• Proactively manage employee relations caseload with fair, timely progress.
• Advise on disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and flexible working matters.
• Support absence and health-related processes, including reasonable adjustments.
• Maintain confidential case records and documentation.
• Identify risks and contribute to policy/process improvements.
• Help build manager capability and contribute to People & Organisation projects.
