Job summary

Distinct Consultancy in Wythenshawe is seeking a HR Advisor to join on a permanent basis. You will own absence management, performance and ER casework, and help shape proactive people processes while supporting monthly payroll input.

You will coach managers, update policies with employment law in mind, and maintain accurate data for reporting. The role offers 22 days holiday, birthday off, flexible hours, CIPD support, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven HR advisory experience managing absence, performance and ER casework.
• CIPD Level 5+ qualification and UK employment law knowledge.
• Experience coaching managers and influencing difficult conversations.
• Experience with payroll input and monthly deadlines.
• Ability to build HR processes in a small team.
• Experience implementing or improving HR systems.
• Ability to work autonomously in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Manage short-term absence and long-term sickness cases end to end.
• Lead performance and capability casework for managers.
• Advise on and manage employee relations cases.
• Maintain accurate case records and management reports.
• Review and update HR policy with employment law in mind.
• Design and deliver manager coaching and training.
• Own the wellbeing agenda and occupational health initiatives.
• Support payroll monthly processing and queries.
• Recruitment support at peak volumes and hard-to-fill roles.
• Maintain accurate people data and produce reporting.
