GB Railfreight is seeking an HR Advisor to join their dynamic HR team, providing vital support across various locations. With a focus on the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, this role aims to foster a positive workplace culture and manage employee relations effectively. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant HR experience, ideally with ER focus, and be willing to travel frequently across the Midlands.

As a HR Advisor, you will provide expert HR advice and support to business leaders and managers in their effective management of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, training, coaching, absence management, performance management, employee relations, talent development, retention, and the offboarding processes. You will strive to ensure best practices are followed consistently and professionally across the client area with a view of mitigating people related risks, in alignment with wider HR strategy and overall company objectives. This role will be Midlands based with regular travel to other offices/sites as required including West Midlands covering Birmingham and Bescot, East Midlands including Toton, Bardon Hill, Wellingborough, Eastleigh, Peak Forest and covering Cardiff, Bristol and Crewe. A typical week will involve travel to any of these locations or any of our GB Railfreight offices at least 3 days per week. As such a driving licence is essential.
The salary on offer is up to £45,000.
