Job summary

RAD Hotel Group in Cumnock is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join the Head Office team. You will provide hands‑on HR support across the Group, travel to hotels, and advise managers on employee relations and HR processes.

The role requires strong knowledge of UK employment law, excellent communication, and a practical, solutions‑focused approach. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across locations are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting employee relations including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance.
• Confident advising and coaching managers at different levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships.
• Practical, solutions‑focused approach to HR.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• CIPD qualification or working towards is advantageous.
• Hospitality or multi-site experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across hotel locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and professional HR advice and guidance to managers across the Group.
• Support managers with employee relations matters including absence, conduct, capability, performance and grievances.
• Guide managers through HR processes, ensuring fairness and policy compliance.
• Attend and support formal employee meetings when required.
• Support absence management and help managers handle short and long‑term absence.
• Advise and coach managers on effective people management and HR best practice.
• Support onboarding, probation reviews, performance management and development.
• Review HR documentation and employee records for accuracy.
• Support policy development, implementation and review across the Group.
• Build relationships with General Managers and management teams across hotels.
