Job summary

Brayleys Cars & Johnsons Cars is expanding its HR Shared Services team and inviting applications for an HR Administrator. You will support the employee lifecycle, maintain HR records, and assist with onboarding/offboarding while upholding confidentiality and accuracy.

You will work with Payroll, managers and IT to ensure smooth HR processes, contribute to system enhancements, and apply UK employment legislation and GDPR requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR administration or a similar administrative role.
• Experience using HR Information Systems (HRIS).
• Knowledge of GDPR and data confidentiality requirements.
• Experience producing HR documents and reports.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration of the employee lifecycle from onboarding to leaving.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Process employee changes including promotions, transfers and changes to working arrangements.
• Produce HR letters, contracts and employee correspondence.
• Maintain data in the Cascade HR system and run HR reports.
• Act as a first point of contact for HR administration queries.
• Collaborate with Payroll, managers, HR colleagues, Finance and IT teams.
• Support HR projects and system improvements.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and employment legislation.

As we continue to grow and transform, we're looking for a dedicated HR Administrator to join our evolving HR team and help shape an exceptional employee experience across our organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly developing HR Shared Services function where you'll play a key role in supporting colleagues throughout the employee lifecycle while helping to drive continuous improvement in our HR systems and processes.

About the Role

Reporting to the HR Shared Services Manager, you will provide accurate, efficient and professional HR administration support across the business. Acting as a key point of contact for employees and managers, you'll ensure our people processes run smoothly while maintaining high levels of accuracy, confidentiality and customer service.

You'll be responsible for maintaining employee records within our HR system, supporting onboarding and offboarding activities, producing HR documentation, handling employee queries and contributing to the ongoing development of our HR Shared Services function.

• Process employee changes including promotions, transfers, contractual amendments and changes to working arrangements.
• Produce HR letters, contracts and employee correspondence.
• Maintain and update employee data within our HR Information System (Cascade).
• Run HR reports and support data accuracy and compliance activities.
• Act as a first point of contact for HR administration queries.
• Work closely with Payroll, managers, HR colleagues, Finance and IT teams.
• Support HR projects, process improvements and system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, employment legislation and internal policies.

About You

We're looking for an organised and detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

• Experience in HR administration or a similar administrative role.
• Experience using HR Information Systems (HRIS).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
• Able to work independently whilst contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
• Experience using Cascade HR.
• Experience working within an HR Shared Services environment.
• Knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR processes.
• CIPD qualification or working towards one.
• Experience producing HR reports and analysing HR data.
• Experience working within a multi-site organisation.
