Job summary

Serco Limited is hiring a Housing Officer for AASC sites including Stoke, Crewe, Newcastle under Lyme, Stafford and Market Drayton. The role is full-time (37.5h/week Mon-Fri) with a salary of £29,250 plus Serco Benefits. A valid UK driving licence is required and a company car is provided.

You will support Service Users, inspect properties and manage welfare checks and safeguarding. The role focuses on property standards, inductions, incident response, and reporting to meet contractual targets

Qualifications

• Experience in a service environment with good communication skills.
• Knowledge of working in a property-related environment.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• IT literacy with Word and Excel proficiency.
• Ability to manage conflict effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of core Service User support services as contracted.
• Induct new Service Users to IA and explain services, property standards and safety.
• Respond to requests received via the AIRE Services.
• Manage incidents raised by the AIRE Services and report as required.
• Meet tasking schedules and support Field operations manager.
• Provide timely reports on visits, inspections, repairs and incidents.
• Complete monthly IA inspections and highlight maintenance needs.
• Carry out additional inspections (e.g., pre-dispersal).
• Manage discontinuations and report potential absconders per LOP.
• Carry out first fixes and minor repairs where tasked.
• Maintain property standards and comply with legislation.
• Follow all contract processes, procedures and policies.
• Manage IA access for suppliers, visitors, maintenance, etc.
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare checks for Service Users, including urgent medical needs and anti-social behaviour.
