Job summary

Serco Limited seeks a Housing Officer in Nottingham East to support the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services. You will manage IA properties, perform monthly inspections, and provide welfare signposting to Service Users while maintaining safety and contractual compliance.

Role requires a valid UK driving licence, with a company car provided. You will handle inductions, respond to Service User requests and incidents, and ensure excellent service delivery within the AASC framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service environment with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge/experience of property-related environments.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• IT literate with MS Word/Excel.
• Ability to manage conflict.
• Safeguarding knowledge or experience desirable.
• Experience in a security-related role desirable.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of core Service User support as per contract.
• Inductions for new Service Users to IA; explain services and safety procedures.
• Respond to requests via AIRE Services and manage incidents.
• Complete monthly IA inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Manage access for suppliers, visitors and maintenance.
• Ensure safety compliance via safeguarding policies and emergency procedures.
• Assist day-to-day IA operations (registers, post, reception).
