Job summary

Serco is seeking a Housing Officer to support Service Users across AASC in IA properties, conducting monthly inspections and maintaining high housing standards. The role includes inductions, welfare checks and responding to service requests within the AIRE framework.

Applicants should have strong communication, conflict management, and IT skills, with a background in property-related environments. A UK driving licence and company car are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a service environment.
• Knowledge/experience of working within a property related environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• IT literate with basic MS Office skills (Word/Excel).
• Ability to manage conflict and stay organised under pressure.
• Desirable: maintenance knowledge, safeguarding knowledge/experience, experience in a security related role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core Service User support services as prescribed under the contract.
• Provide inductions for new Service Users to IA and explain services, property standards, emergency procedures and complaints process.
• Respond to requests for assistance and support via AIRE Services and report incidents.
• Manage incidents raised by the AIRE Services and maintain accurate records.
• Complete monthly inspections within IA and highlight maintenance needs.
• Assist with day-to-day IA operations including registers, reception duties, etc.
