Job summary

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking a Housing Technical Officer to join the Business Support team on a full-time, permanent basis with hybrid working. The role provides technical support to Housing and Public Protection Services, including Environmental Health and Residential Services.

Key duties include handling enquiries, processing back-office statutory functions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supplying data to central government and other bodies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy frontline, customer-focused environment.
• Strong IT skills with Word, Excel and MIS experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to present to diverse bodies.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to gather information and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to follow procedures and work logically.

Responsibilities

• Handle enquiries from Customer Services Centre, the public, elected members and staff regarding enforcement services.
• Process complex back-office statutory processes, including grants and similar functions.
• Record and pass service requests to the appropriate service lead for escalation within defined standards.
• Input data into service databases and compile statistics for internal and external bodies.
