Job summary

Essex County Council, acting in support of Harlow Council, is recruiting a Technical Support Officer for a 12-month, full-time contract based on-site at Mead Park, Harlow. The role focuses on Asset Management support for tenants and housing staff, including surveys, data handling, and regular correspondence.

You will coordinate surveys, respond to enquiries, handle admin tasks, and assist with training and access to housing databases, supporting the Housing Property Service team.

Qualifications

• Background in housing administration and providing technical support to asset management.
• Knowledge of budgets within repairs and capital investment.
• Understanding of Health and Safety in housing repairs.
• Good numeracy and literacy.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with Asset Management providing support to tenants, internal and external colleagues.
• Co-ordinate stock condition surveys / Energy Performance Surveys.
• Respond to enquiries with written or oral responses as required.
• General administration: minute taking, preparing reports, supporting housing analysts, and detailed record keeping.
• Help with user training and facilitate access to databases.
• Dealing with tenants / leaseholders daily.
• Support the department in responsibilities relating to Asset Management.
