• Experience in a housing options team within a local authority or similar.
• Ability to interpret housing legislation and work in a rule-driven environment.
• Experience dealing with the public in person and by phone.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing advice and homelessness service to residents of the borough.
• Offer homelessness prevention options to customers.
• Make statutory homelessness decisions based on information gathered.
• Handle housing applications and issues face to face, by telephone and online and keep customers updated.
