Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a Project Worker in Chelmsford to support people experiencing homelessness and help them build independence. The role involves assessing needs, updating support plans, and being the first point of contact for client inquiries.

The position requires teamwork with external partners and a compassionate, flexible approach, offering opportunities for professional growth within a not-for-profit housing service.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults who have experienced homelessness
• Positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach
• Able to work well in a team and independently
• Strong organisational skills with good literacy and numeracy
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
• Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)

Responsibilities

• Support customers who have experienced homelessness to build independence and reach their potential
• Assess needs and update support plans
• Act as the first point of contact for customer queries
• Build positive relationships that respect choice, privacy and dignity
• Work with external partners to boost confidence, health and wellbeing, and encourage education and employment
