Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a Housing Support Officer in Dundee to provide housing management and support to asylum seekers. You will assist with the right-to-work process, deliver practical and emotional support, and maintain records to ensure compliance.

The role involves managing a portfolio of homes, coordinating move-ins/move-outs, and working with internal teams and external agencies to arrange appropriate support. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Support asylum seekers during their Home Office right-to-work process with welfare and safeguarding needs.
• Provide practical and emotional support to individuals and families.
• Identify needs and put in place support packages to promote independence.
• Work with vulnerable client groups, including those with mental health needs or challenging behaviours.
• Carry out risk assessments and maintain accurate records for audits and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, service users, local authorities, and partner organisations.
• Flexible and willing to travel between sites.
