Job summary

Mears Group in Glasgow is seeking a Housing Support Officer to help asylum seekers through the Home Office right-to-work process, providing practical and emotional support and maintaining compliant records.

You will manage a portfolio of homes, coordinate move-ins/move-outs, monitor welfare and safeguarding, and work with internal teams and external partners to ensure suitable support is in place.

Qualifications

• Support asylum seekers through Home Office right-to-work process, ensuring welfare and safeguarding needs are met
• Provide practical and emotional support to individuals and families
• Identify needs and arrange support packages to promote independence
• Carry out risk assessments and maintain accurate records for audits and compliance
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality housing management and support service to service users
• Manage a portfolio of homes within an assigned region and coordinate move-ins/move-outs/voids and inspections
• Monitor compliance with key performance indicators and identify risks
• Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, care providers and community organisations to ensure appropriate support
