Job summary

Niyaa People are seeking an experienced Housing Support Worker to cover multiple supported housing services across Bradford. You will work from an office in Bradford and travel between sites, supporting residents who may have recently left prison and those with complex needs, delivering practical, person-centred housing support.

You'll manage welfare-related matters, complete risk assessments and support plans, maintain records and safeguard residents while building professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing support or homelessness settings.
• Experience handling complex needs.
• Knowledge of Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and welfare support.
• Experience completing risk assessments, welfare checks and support plans.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
• Available for immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, person-centred housing and support to vulnerable residents.
• Support residents with complex needs, including those recently leaving prison.
• Assist residents with welfare benefits and related matters.
• Complete sign-ups, welfare checks, risk assessments and support plans.
• Travel between Bradford-based services and maintain records and confidential documentation.
• Maintain safeguarding and professional boundaries while engaging external services.
