Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting on behalf of a housing organisation in Dudley for a Housing Support Officer to assist young adults and care leavers in a supported housing unit. The role focuses on practical and emotional housing-related support to help residents gain independence and stability.

You will provide individual housing support, help with tenancy sustainment, and contribute to developing personalised support plans while adhering to safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Experience providing housing support or related assistance.
• Ability to develop and review support plans for residents.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits and housing-related support.
• Proven ability to build positive, professional relationships with young people.
• DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 housing support to young adults and care leavers.

• Previous experience providing housing support or similar support work
• Strong understanding of support planning and tenancy sustainment
• Knowledge of welfare benefits and housing-related support
