Job summary

South Norfolk and Broadland Councils in Norwich are seeking a Housing Standards Technical Advisor to provide essential administrative and coordination support across housing standards services, including referrals, case records, licensing processes and financial assessments.

You will act as a first point of contact for residents, landlords and partner agencies, manage diaries and appointments, handle payments and maintain accurate records, with a strong focus on confidentiality and high-quality

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and literacy skills with good IT proficiency.
• Experience working in busy admin and customer-focused environments.
• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice, information and signposting to residents and service users.
• Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries received by telephone, email and post.
• Managing and maintaining electronic case records and databases.
• Coordinating officer diaries, inspections and appointments.
• Processing purchase orders, invoices and payments.
• Undertaking financial eligibility assessments and calculations.
• Producing performance information and maintaining accurate records.
