Job summary

Bassetlaw District Council is looking for a dedicated Triage and Accommodation Officer to join the Housing Solutions Team. You will help residents facing homelessness access support, complete initial assessments and coordinate temporary accommodation placements.

We welcome applicants with customer service or public services experience and a genuine desire to help people. Full-time role based in the district, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to helping people and delivering good customer service.
• Experience in housing, homelessness or tenancy services is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to learn housing legislation and homelessness prevention concepts.
• Transferable skills from customer service or public services are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, guidance and practical assistance to people who are homeless or at risk.
• Carry out initial assessments in line with housing legislation and guidance.
• Coordinate and manage temporary accommodation placements.
• Support residents while longer-term housing solutions are explored.
