Job summary

Publica Group is recruiting an Accommodation Officer for the Housing Solutions service in Witney. You will manage a caseload in emergency and temporary accommodation, helping customers access housing options and move toward stability.

You will visit accommodation regularly, coordinate with providers and support services, and create tenancy-ready plans while maintaining accurate records. A full UK driving licence and flexible, customer-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, homelessness or temporary accommodation services.
• Experience supporting people with complex needs.
• Customer-focused, empathetic and professional.
• Strong IT skills and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the district and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of customers in emergency and temporary accommodation.
• Support customers to explore housing options and move on from temporary accommodation.
• Carry out regular visits to accommodation (hostels, hotels, B&Bs).
• Create personalised tenancy-ready plans with customers.
• Liaise with support agencies, accommodation providers and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.
• Help resolve tenancy issues and respond to concerns quickly.
• Ensure customers access benefits and financial support.
• Maintain accurate records and case information across IT systems.
• Undertake risk assessments and support safe accommodation placements.
• Participate in an out-of-hours telephone advice rota.
