Job summary

Winchester City Council is seeking a proactive Temporary Accommodation Officer to join the team in Winchester. You will manage day-to-day housing management for homeless households and help residents become tenancy ready to access move-on opportunities.

The role covers breaches of licence/non‑secure tenancy; income and debt management with tenancy sustainment at its core. You will liaise with internal and external agencies, visit units across the district, and carry out health and safety checks

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day housing management for temporary accommodation.
Provide support to ensure residents are tenancy ready for move-on opportunities.
Deal with breaches of licence/non-secure tenancy conditions and rent issues.
Prepare and serve legal paperwork and represent the Council at Court when required.
Coordinate with internal and external agencies to support vulnerable residents.
